The Vision of the Florida Water Resources Monitoring Council is to better protect, preserve, manage and restore water resources in the state of Florida by coordinating water resource monitoring and by sharing information. This Catalog is one tool to accomplish that vision.
The goal of the Catalog is to inventory and characterize existing and legacy water resource monitoring activities throughout Florida and adjacent lands and waters. For it to achieve this goal, the participation of all parties involved in water resource assessment and management is required.
If you represent an organization that is engaged in project(s) that involve any sort of monitoring of water resources in the state of Florida your information is valuable. Organizations can be public or private, federal, state or local, small or large. They may perform water monitoring for the purpose of education, research, assessment, management, or for other reasons. Types of monitoring data collected include physical, chemical and biological parameters that describe the status of a water resource as well as associated field data (e.g., weather conditions).
